About This Project

The Cliff House on the Mornington Peninsula was designed by Finnis Architects, with Lisa Ellis Gardens engaged to design the garden.

The original design brief was for a small footprint with few changes required between the house and the cliff itself.  After the build had commenced, the client made the decision to decommission the tennis court; so we undertook stage two of the landscape design.  The blueprint for a larger lap pool, outdoor living zone, vegetable garden and potting up shed resolved significant level changes whilst still satisfying the design brief.  Considerable overlooking requirements in the landscape also needed to be managed.

The garden was built in 2022-2023.
