Project Description

The Sheep Sculpture garden combines playful charm with horticultural knowledge and a considered use of colour. The result is as lush as it is detailed. The clients met with Lisa Ellis Gardens at the recommendation of friends. Looking to refresh the façade of their Art Deco home, the clients wanted a complete redesign of their front garden. An initial site inspection revealed several sheep sculptures on the front lawn, brought over by the client after a visit to South Africa. The sculptures were designed using traditional handicraft by local South African women, and the client requested these to be incorporated into the garden design. Designed and completed in 2014 by Lisa Ellis Gardens, the space will be opened to the public in November 2016 as part of Garden DesignFest.
